Mag-Tec Casting Corporation

Capability: Die Casting Services

Capability:

At Mag-Tec Casting Corporation we specialize in turnkey production of high-quality aluminum, zinc, and magnesium die castings. Our comprehensive lineup of services incorporates prototyping and tooling design, short and long production runs, CNC machining, finishing, and coating. With die casting machines in the 600-ton to 1200-ton range, we manufacture net shape castings weighing from 8 oz. to 20 lbs. with dimensions of up to 20” long x 20” wide x 20” high.

Tooling design is one of our strengths. Working with customer specifications, we consider all aspects of the design and how the metal will flow within the tool to build dies that produce geometrically complex parts to near net shape. With our history of innovation, we design tools for richly-featured parts with variable wall thickness, holes, threads, internal features, and other necessary elements to avoid secondary operations. We build precision-tolerance molds from high-quality tool steel, and by implementing strategies such as predictive wear analysis, these molds withstand production runs from 75k to 250k without needing maintenance.

As a progressive company in the area of die casting, we manufacture parts from a variety of magnesium, aluminum, and zinc alloys and can experiment with different non-ferrous alloy compositions to obtain the required characteristics for performance and wear. Our die casting processes are computer-controlled and closely monitored to ensure the highest level of accuracy and repeatability. To support end-to-end production, we operate an in-house machining department and offer an extensive selection of finishing and coating options.

Throughout the entire production cycle, our technically skilled specialists utilize high-tech measuring and test equipment as well as conventional tools to ensure parts conform to specifications. As an ISO 9001 certified die casting company, our customers expect — and we deliver — parts that exhibit the highest caliber of quality. Serving customers in the transportation, electrical, energy, automotive, and consumer products, we accept orders from one hundred to one million.
